What does MOTS-c cost?

MOTS-c has no approved US product, so no official price from its maker or government was available on September 30, 2026.

Ask for a written quote that names the exact product and lists every charge. Keep unanswered costs visible.

An unpriced quote checklist covering a care visit, tests and follow-up, and any product, with a prompt to ask for every charge.

Name each charge before adding up a total. A blank is still an unanswered question.

Ask the payer, not just the pitch

Who is actually paying?

Can I count on insurance?

Ask the insurer for a written answer about the visit and the exact product separately.

  • Is this visit covered?
  • Is this exact product covered?
  • Does the plan need to agree before care starts?
  • What would I pay myself?

Keep “not answered” separate from “covered”.

Can a medical spending account pay?

Health savings accounts and flexible spending accounts let you save money for medical costs before taxes come out.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is the US tax agency.

Under IRS guidance checked September 26, 2026, costs merely meant to improve general health do not qualify as medical care.

That rule alone does not show that a MOTS-c bill qualifies.

Ask whoever runs your medical spending account whether it can pay that exact charge. Check before you count on getting the money back.

A quote you can compare

Which charges are included, and which are separate?

Ask what each payment covers and when it repeats. If a line does not apply, write that down too.
